Patros Expansion

Patros Expands Its Reach to Inspire a Generation of Men

When we launched Patros, we knew we had something special. What began with a transformative retreat involving Ohio State football student athletes, including Kamryn Babb’s incredible story, quickly became a tool for men seeking to align their lives with biblical values. Now, as we look ahead, the challenge is how to expand Patros into a resource that resonates with men from all walks of life.

Kam’s story—the two-time Ohio State captain who fought through four ACL tears to catch his one career touchdown—is nothing short of remarkable. His perseverance and faith embody what Patros is about: character, resilience, and passing on wisdom. But as inspiring as Kam and his teammates are, we realize that for Patros to reach its full potential, we need to create content with a broader appeal.

Patros is not just a Bible study. It’s a discipleship resource designed to equip men to live out their faith and take tangible steps to address the root issues creating fatherlessness—a crisis that’s deeply affecting our society. We’re asking men to not only study the Word but also put it into action by mentoring, serving, and leading. We want them exposed to material that is ready to be put into action. That’s what makes Patros different.

Our goal? To impact 10.2 million men, representing 10% of self-identified Christian men in the U.S. It’s an ambitious target, but as Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point explains, 10% is where movements gain unstoppable momentum. Reaching that tipping point could catalyze a cultural shift in how men approach biblical masculinity and fatherhood.

I’ll admit, I don’t have a perfect plan to get to that 10.2 million number. But, to get started, we’re exploring new ways to connect with our audience. Our recent series skewed young, with NFL players and rising stars inspiring the next generation. Now, we’re planning to include voices from older men—not just those self-described “deeply religious” men, but those with the wisdom of experience. Their stories of faith and endurance can provide a balanced perspective, bridging generations.

We’re also enhancing our resources to make Patros accessible and actionable. From video curriculum to coaching guides, small group materials, and even links to our podcast, we aim to provide a comprehensive toolkit for churches and men’s groups.

Each year, we’ll build on this foundation with new series and resources. With God’s guidance and a community of committed men, we’re excited to see how Patros can transform lives and leave a legacy of hope and action from our headquarters here in Florida.

Be well,

Jeffrey Charles Ford
